Joshua is a 24-year-old avid percussionist who has been playing drums since he was old enough to hold a pair of sticks. Born in West Jordan, Utah, Josh comes from a musically oriented family. His father, who played for the University of Utah marching band in 1995 and 1996 was Josh's main source of inspiration as a child, and it was at the tender age of 2yrs, that Joshua first started playing drums with his dad.

Following his father's lead, Josh attended Lakeland High School, where he performed in the concert symphonic and marching bands from 2017 to 2020. During his time there, he gained experience playing marching snare, tenors, and various mallet percussion instruments such as the xylophone and marimba. He was also honored to perform at the 2018 Bands of America Concert Music Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In addition to his expertise in teaching drumline technique and rudiments, Joshua also specializes in teaching drum set across many genres, including Rock, Classical, Pop, Funk, and Country. His passion for, and experience on drums makes him an inspiration to his students.  His teaching methodology combines technique, grooves, sight reading, and improvised playing in the styles that interest each of his students most.  Joshua enjoys working with all ages and experience levels, and is equally as versed in teaching young beginners with no prior training, as he is delighted to work with more seasoned drummers who have years of experience.

When he's not practicing, teaching, or performing on the kit, Joshua enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and watching football (Go Eagles!).
