Lauren B

Lauran Baucum is an American classical guitarist and multi-instrumentalist musician.  She holds a Bachelor of Music Peformance degree in Classical Guitar from the Stetson University School of Music.  She has performed internationally and been recognized for her beautiful sound, connection with audience, and "ability to change the atmospheres of a whole room" (Berta Rojas).  Lauren was among 14 guitarists accepted internationally to attend the Volterra Project Summer Guitar Institute in 2018.  

Lauren has been teaching music professionally since 2016, and although her primary focus is teaching classical and more contemporary styles of guitar, she also enjoys teaching beginning and intermediate piano and ukulele to students of all ages.  She has written and recorded original music, released music with several collaborative projects, and continues to develop her skills as a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter.

Bill H

Bill Hecht is a multi instrumentalist who plays and teaches drums, piano, guitar, violin, viola, cello, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and bass guitar.  Born into a musical family, he took after his two older brothers and began playing piano as a young boy.  Throughout his childhood and into his teens he took private instruction for piano, guitar, and drums, and started playing gigs in middle school.  As a young adult he rehearsed and performed in various bands playing bass guitar, acoustic and electric guitar, and drums. In 1976 he graduated from Berkley College of Music with a BA in Music Composition.   One of his most memorable moments was performing with singer songwriter legend Bruce Hornsby.   Bill passed the music torch to his son Bobby Hawk who is now an accomplished violinist, and regularly records violin tracks for Taylor Swift's new releases.  When Bill's not playing or teaching music, you can find him on any given sunday morning teaching sermons at Faith Lutheran Church in Winter Haven where he currently serves as the Pastor.  Bill enjoys teaching students of all ages and skill levels.

Grace B

Grace Bell is a senior at Southeastern University set to graduate this fall with a Bachelor of Music Education.  Her emphasis is in piano and percussion, and she enjoys teaching piano, concert percussion, ukulele, and low brass.  Although she enjoys working with students of all ages and skill levels, she's especially gifted in teaching younger students as well as students who have special needs. Grace's goal is to get her students excited about music and to help them develop a passion for learning, so they will go the distance in their musical journey!

Luis S

Luis Sterling is a student at Southeasetern University and is pursuing a degree in Music Education. While his primary instruments are voice and piano, he also teaches beginning guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, and beginning drums. He is fluent in Spanish and is currently learning Portuguese. He also has 10+ years of experience working with and teaching music to students with special needs! He is passionate about sharing the gift of music with students of all ages, and when he's not playing or teaching music, he is a huge fan of the Orlando Magic's and the sport of basketball.

Ryan C

Ryan Cox is a passionate guitar teacher who enjoys teaching all styles of electric and acoustic guitar, as well as classical guitar, electric bass, and ukulele. His love for music began as a young boy when he first started taking private piano lessons.  After three years of piano lessons, and when a solid foundation had been formed, he began studying guitar at Victory Christian Academy, with worship leader Scott Taylor.  Throughout the years Ryan has performed professionally in a wide variety of showcases and venues throughout all of Florida; from worship services, to rock concerts, to musical theater productions.  In addition to teaching music at LSM, Ryan also writes, produces, and records his own music at his home studio.  He enjoys sharing the gift of music with students of all ages and skill level.

Cece G

Cece is a gifted worship artist and singer/songwriter who began her musical journey at the age of ten, learning to sing, and play the ukulele.  Over the years her love for playing music blossomed and she is now a proficient guitar, piano, and saxophone player and teacher.  In high school she spent four years playing saxophone in the Marching Jazz Symphonic Band.  During this time, she was also First Chair in the All-County Band and Drum Major in her school’s marching band. Cece enjoys performing at coffee shops and other local venues, and is a worship musician at her church on Sundays and Wednesdays.  She has a great passion for music and a deep love for children which is why she chose Social Work and Church Music as her fields of study at Southeastern University where she's currently a Sophomore.  Cece loves sharing her expertise in music with young children and teens, and is excited to take on new students of any skill level.

Johnathon B

Johnathon Barfield is from Lakeland, FL and a former guitar student at Lakeland School of Music where he studied for 3 years with Mr. Ryan Cox.  Johnathon is a great example of what students can achieve with passion, commitment to practice, and a great mentor leading the way. He's currently working on a BA in business administration, and loves to study and play many genres of guitar; his favorite being classic rock. Some of his favorite bands are Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and Kiss. His hobbies include guitar, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. He's incredibly excited to have the opportunity to work with the next generation of musicians and says, "It's such a blessing to be in a position where I can share the gift of music with others".

Phil H

Phil Hildreth is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music where he learned to play all of the instruments in a standard orchestra. He also plays the guitar, banjo, and mandolin. He has directed choirs of all sizes and has been the Director of Music in many churches accross the country.  In addition to orchestral and traditional religious music, Phil has enjoyed playing rock and roll for nearly all of his life, and is passionate about music theory and sharing the gift of music with others.
