Fred H

Fred is a retired elementary science teacher who's had a love for the guitar since he was a young boy. During his career in the public school system he was known by his students and fellow teaching faculty as the "fun-loving" science teacher who would bring his guitar to class and sing original songs written to help students retain key science facts. His plan worked brilliantly and not only earned him the love and respect of many of his students and peers, but also helped students achieve excellent grades in a difficult subject. Over the years he's played with several bands including frontman with Big Medicine, blue-eyed soul with The Soul Coalition, and classic rock with Blue Sunrise. He also occassionaly sits in with a jazz quartet to perform some of the great jazz standards. He plays classical and fingerstyle folk guitar, as well. Whether you want to learn the basics of guitar, to read music, applied music theory, fingerstyle guitar, jazz comping, or hard-driving blues, rock, or country licks; Fred can guide you every step of the way!
